NIMBUS NG – High Efficiency Convection Enclosure Heaters

ITC is now introducing a new family of PTC-based (Positive Temperature Coefficient) convection heaters for control panels and enclosures.
The Nimbus® NG heaters, manufactured by DBK in Germany, are the most compact sized on the market for the power produced, and can save space inside an enclosure for a panel builder. This can potentially allow use of a smaller enclosure, resulting in savings.
The NG heaters are available in 5 models, with rated power from 100 to 240W (at 10˚C), 100 to 240VAC. Ingress Protection rating: IP20.
They feature an anodized aluminium body, with DIN mounting clip and optional finger guard. Electrical connection is by spring terminal block. CSA, UR approvals.
As the heating element is a PTC “stone”, it self-regulates, decreasing its output when the ambient temperature is higher and increasing it when it is colder. Tests show that a typical PTC-based heater will raise its output as much as 25% as ambient temperature drops from +10 ˚C to -25 ˚C (depending on the heater model).
Installation of an adjustable or pre-set thermostat is recommended, but not compulsory due to the inherent self-regulation of the PTC element.
