ALFRA's TriCut® Punch/Die sets are the ideal tool to punch round holes in mild steel plate, to a maximum thickness 3.0 mm, without requiring a hydraulic pump – just a draw stud with ball-bearing head. These punches are manufactured in Germany by ALFRA GmBH, a company with a long history in high quality tools for cutting, drilling, punching and metal working in general.
While a hydraulic cylinder with appropriate pump may also be used if available, TriCut® dies and punches can operate mechanically up to large diameters thanks to the special design of the 3 cutting edges and the ball-bearing draw studs.
For punching Stainless Steel plate up to 2.5mm thick, special “TriCut® Plus” dies are required.
TriCut® punch/die sets are available in metric, Pg and NPT knockouts, from 12.5mm (1/2”) to 63.5 mm (2-1/2”).
Several TriCut® kits are offered, which include a full range of punch/die sets, ball-bearing draw studs and spacers, one pre-dill HSS bit, supplied in a tough case.
