High Density CDS Spring Contact 10A Inserts

ILME CDS IIThe family of multipole industrial connectors, manufactured by ILME and available from ITC, now includes the new CDS line of 10A spring-contact inserts, which provide up to 80% more terminals than the popular 16A screw inserts, using the same housings (generally known as size 6, 10, 16, 24, 32 and 48 housings).

To be more precise, the CDS inserts are available with 9 poles for housings size 6 (a 50% gain in density); 18 poles in housings size 10 (80% gain); 27 poles is size 16 (70% gain); 42 poles in size 24 (75% gain); 54 poles in size 32 (70% gain), and 84 poles in size 48 (75% gain).

Features and Specifications:

  - Greater resistance to vibration, due to the spring contact

  - Max wire section: 14AWG (solid Cu wire) or 16AWG (stranded wire w/ferrule)

  - Rated current: 10A (UL)

  - Rated voltage: 600V (UL)

 

The only tool required for wiring is a 2.5mm screwdriver to operate the spring-loaded terminal; the insertion hole allows performing continuity tests without assembly/disassembly. The rated number of insertion cycles is >500, and the contact resistance < 1mΩ.

These products – like all the line of ILME multipole connectors – are made in Italy. These are UL recognized, are RoHS compatible and bear the CE-mark.
