SLC

BERNSTEIN and ITC introduce a new generation of safety mechanical interlock switches ‘SLC’.

The SLC switches provide robust electro-mechanical locking of doors, covers, protection grilles, etc., while also remote monitoring access status and offering optional emergency opening from inside or outside the enclosure.

SLC switches feature a tough thermoplastic body and a metal head, designed to accept entry from 4 sides and the top (user-configurable) of the corresponding key (actuator).

There are 2 types of operation possible: power-to-unlock (the internal solenoid is powered to unlock) or power-to-lock (lock is released when power is cut). A tool operated safety control (release) by is present on the front (exterior of enclosure); this can be optioned as an accessory handle. Inside the enclosure, an optional escape release handle enables immediate opening in case of emergency.

A number of options are available (the 2 types of operation above, 24V AC/DC or 120V AC operated solenoid, various contact configurations). Accessories include emergency release handles and four types of key actuators.
