TriCut Round Hole Punch/Die Sets for Work on Electrical Panels and Machinery

TriCut® Punch/Die sets are the preferred tool for use in electrical shops, to punch holes in mild steel plate, max. thickness 3.0 mm., without necessarily using a hydraulic pump – just a draw stud with ball-bearing head. Previously known as “TriStar”, these punches are manufactured in Germany by ALFRA GmBH, a Company with more than 40 years’ experience in high quality tools for cutting, drilling, punching and metal working in general.
While a hydraulic cylinder with appropriate pump may also be used if available, TriCut® dies and punches can operate mechanically up to large diameters thanks to the special design of the 3 cutting edges and the ball-bearing draw studs.
For punching Stainless Steel plate up to 2.5mm thick, special “TriCut® Plus” dies are required.
TriCut® punch/die sets are available for a variety of sizes, including metric, Pg as well as NPT knockouts from 12.7mm (1/2”) to 63.5 mm (2-1/2”).
Several TriCut® kits are offered, which include a number of metric, Pg or NPT punch/die sets, ball-bearing draw studs and spacers, one pre-dill HSS bit, in a sturdy plastic case.
