ITC is introducing a new, versatile battery operated, portable hydraulic tool.
Ideally suited for small and medium-sized shops or for use on job-sites, the new K-ED10 tool can perform multiple operations, simply by switching adapters and dies:
- Crimp power terminals from 10 to 240mm2 / 8AWG to 500MCM
- Cut stranded copper, aluminium and ACSR cables up to 25mm / 1" diameter
- Cut threaded steel rods up to ½” diameter
- Cut DIN Rail 35x7.5mm or 35x15mm
- Punch steel plates up to 3mm thick
The hydraulic cylinder of this tool provides a force of 6.7 tons. The motor is fed by a rechargeable Li-ion 18V Bosch battery.
K-ED10 (ITC Part No. 502.851K) is supplied complete with one battery and a 110V 60Hz charger, in a heavy-duty carrying case. A variety of adapters, as well as specific die sets for each of the applications listed above, are available.
The crimping dies for uninsulated terminals 8AWG-500MCM are interchangeable with the manual-hydraulic tool 240R (ITC Part No. 502.551K) recently introduced by ITC.
As for punching steel plates, ITC also provides a wide range of Tri-Cut® punch/die sets as well as special sets for punching square and rectangular holes (the latter for standard-size multipole connectors).
Changing the various die sets and adapters is done manually and rapidly, no tools are needed.
The K-ED10 tool is made in Taiwan and is covered by a limited warranty of one year.
