New “SYSTEM 4-70” Stripping Knife System From JOKARI

With the new cable knife “System 4-70” JOKARI® has innovated its famous dismantling knife. In comparison with former models, the cable knife “System 4-70” has new characteristics that make the work easier and safer.
The metal bracket which closes around the cable is now interchangeable: In the past, several cable knives were used to cover all cable sizes: now the “System 4-70” can be adjusted to every size from 4 to 70 mm (~ 0.15” to 2.75”) diameter with one touch. The basic model is supplied with the standard bracket size (Ø 8-28 mm). “System 4-70” is also available as a kit which contains the brackets for Ø 4-16 mm, Ø 27-35 mm, Ø 35-50 mm and Ø 50-70 mm.
There are four cutting depth settings, depending on the cable sheath thickness, which protects the inner conductors. The knife is initially “turned” around the cable one or more times, to make a round cut in the jacket, then the blade automatically sets to make the length cut for dismantling. A viewing opening shows whether the round cut was precise. A hooked dismantling blade is also included in the tool.
Safety is a major concern of the design: After the dismantling operation, the hooked blade retracts automatically, to avoid any risk of injury.
