“SIMPLEX” multi-pole connector housings with self-closing covers

ILME’s bulkhead mounted multipole connector housings are now available with the new “Simplex” self-closing thermoplastic covers, which ensure IP65 Ingress Protection rating (EN60529) when locked with the closing lever, and IP44 when non-locked.
The new bulkhead housings (Identified by the code LSP) are now available in the CZI-15 format (connectors 10 and 15 poles), CZI-25 format (16, 25 and 38 poles), CVI-06 (6, 9, 10 and 24 poles), CVI-10 (10, 18, 42 poles), CVI16 (16, 27, 32, 40, 72 poles), CVI-24 (24, 42, 46, 64, 108 poles). CZI housings have the new “IL-BRID” type lever, while CVI housings are equipped with the patented “V-Type” lever. Both levers ensure maximum resistance to vibration and are ergonomically designed for convenient, error-proof operation.
Applications for these new products include all panels, machinery, control systems where protection of the exposed connector is essential when the mating plug is removed, without recurring to the separate operation of manually closing a hinged cover, or applying a separate (tethered) cover.
Covers for the “Simplex” housings are made of UL94 rated thermoplastic, fiberglass reinforced. Gaskets are made of oil and grease resistant vinyl nitrile elastomer.
Available in Canada at ITC beginning early 2017.
