The ILME MIXO series is a complete system of modular components, designed for various applications, to be installed in the traditional ILME enclosures for multipole connectors. Using the MIXO system, each enclosure can house different modules, to connect electric power, data signals, pneumatics or fibre-optics.
The main feature of this system is to provide maximum versatility to the user, who can create configurations that suit their individual requirements. The design of the inserts and of the system is such that permits easy access to each module, for replacement, testing, etc.
In the MIXO system, inserts are arranged together by means of a metal frame to form a single compact block, which is then inserted
in the housing. Each insert uses 1, 2, or even 3 ‘slots’ (spaces in the frame). Frames can accommodate 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 slots; assembled frames then fit in the standard ILME housings.
Major advantages of the ILME MIXO system include simple, fast, user-friendly assembly, use of existing, proven termination components (crimp terminals) which guarantee reliable, robust connections, and a range of inserts currently exceeding 50 models and always expanding.
