Compression lugs for power cables have extended, two-hole tongue

2 hole lug In addition to the popular, single-hole power lugs available from ITC, type 39CL-D color-coded compression lugs for power cables have an extra long barrel to ensure maximum mechanical resistance to pull-out force, as well as two fixing holes, making them ideal for installations where high reliability of connection is a must. They are available for standard stranded cables 8AWG to 750MCM, with various sizes of mounting holes.

LC-100 Automatic Cross-Cutting Machine

LC-100 A new precise automatic wire cutting machine, manufactured in Germany by GLW, is now available from ITC.

The LC-100 machine cuts cables, wires, hoses and other similar profiles up to a diameter of 8 mm (~5/16”), for unit lengths from 2mm to 1000mm. Setup via the membrane keypad on the machine or external computer is extremely simple, so that it can be used for both short runs and large production runs. Settings can be saved on a computer. Manual adjustment of driver rollers and transport speed can also be manually adjusted for specific needs.

New Disconnect Switch Catalog

EC-1705cover The new 20-page DISCONNECT SWITCH catalog is now available on-line from ITC. Enclosed, door mounted, DIN rail mounted and panel mounted versions are available. Models are rated from 16A to 250A (UL general use rating), in 3,4 and 6 pole versions. All ITC by Sontheimer switches have UL and CSA approvals. Accessories include spare and auxiliary contacts, shaft extensions and spare handles. Ammeter and Voltmeter switches are also included in this catalog.

AKi - Polycarbonate enclosures

AKi Enclosure ITC introduces the new large size, fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate “AKi” enclosures, manufactured in Germany by SPELSBERG®. This series includes four basic sizes (150x300mm, 300x300mm, 300x450mm, 300x600mm), each with two choices of height (132 or 209mm), and available either with solid grey or with transparent cover.

These halogen-free, RoHS compliant enclosures are rated IP65 and impact rated IK08. Designed mainly for indoors installation, their temperature rating is from -35˚C to + 80˚C. The lateral walls of these enclosures are equipped with pre-marked metric knockouts to facilitate installing cable glands and fittings. Two or more enclosures can be joined together by means of assembly kits.

AKKU-COMPACT - battery operated hydraulic punch tools

AKKU combo pic A new, hand-held, battery operated hydraulic punching tool, designed for punching round and shaped holes in mild steel or stainless steel plates, is now available at ITC in Toronto.

This handy tool, created by ALFRA of Germany for the small and medium panel shop, is presented in two versions: “AKKU-Compact”, complete hand held unit, and “AKKU-Compact Flex”, where the hydraulic punch head is separate and connected through a high pressure hose to the pump unit.

“DINLET Plus”, the new 20A DIN Rail mounted AC receptacle

A new single 20A North American receptacle, mounted on DIN Rail, has joined the family of these products available in Canada from ITC. The new “DINLET Plus” is a 70x40x57mm (approximately 2-3/4”x 1-1/2” x 2-1/4”) DIN rail mounted module with a commercial grade NEMA5-20R 3-pin AC outlet 120V, 20A. Connection is done through 3 PCB-mounted screw terminal blocks for 12AWG wire maximum. An LED indicates when the receptacle is powered. cURus recognized, IP20 ingress protection.

“SIMPLEX” multi-pole connector housings with self-closing covers

Simplex ILME’s bulkhead mounted multipole connector housings are now available with the new “Simplex” self-closing thermoplastic covers, which ensure IP65 Ingress Protection rating (EN60529) when locked with the closing lever, and IP44 when non-locked.

The new bulkhead housings (Identified by the code LSP) are now available in the CZI-15 format (connectors 10 and 15 poles), CZI-25 format (16, 25 and 38 poles), CVI-06 (6, 9, 10 and 24 poles), CVI-10 (10, 18, 42 poles), CVI16 (16, 27, 32, 40, 72 poles), CVI-24 (24, 42, 46, 64, 108 poles). CZI housings have the new “IL-BRID” type lever, while CVI housings are equipped with the patented “V-Type” lever. Both levers ensure maximum resistance to vibration and are ergonomically designed for convenient, error-proof operation.
